I am a native of West, Texas and I am thankful for the sacrifice my parents made for me to attend and graduate from St. Mary’s Catholic School. My mother, my six siblings, my husband, and our three children graduated from St. Mary’s. After high school, I moved to Denton, Texas to attend the University of North Texas where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1990. I then moved to Euless, Texas to teach fourth grade in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD where I remained for seven years. After marrying, I returned to the University of North Texas and earned my Master of Education degree in 1996. When our first child was born, we moved back to West, and my career changed to “stay-at-home-mom.” The next ten years were spent with our three daughters. After our youngest entered pre-kindergarten at St. Mary’s, I was offered a job to teach religion. I currently teach fifth grade. My husband, Mark, and I have been married for 31 years and together we have three daughters, and a son-in-law, Claire and Jeffery, Katie, and Natalie. Earlier this year we were blessed with our first granddaughter, Emma. Lord, let your mercy be on us, as we place our trust in you. Psalm 33:22
